Lab Testing and Analysis
Functional Medicine, An Evidence Based Approach
Emily practices evidence-based medicine. This means she uses the data from your lab work to evaluate you and formulate your treatment plan, which takes the guess-work out of the picture. And, let’s face it, why would you want to guess at why you might be sick?

With functional lab testing and analysis, Emily uses a broader set of ranges that allows her to look for more subtle markers that may reveal nutritional deficiencies or where your body may be slipping from homeostasis. Ultimately, the goal is to detect these changes in your body before a full-blown disease manifests.

Your lab testing may include blood, saliva, stool, or urine. After years of careful research, Emily has hand-picked specific laboratories for testing, each known for their exceptional testing standards. Some of the conditions that Emily tests for include:

Types of Testing

  • Gluten sensitivities and Celiac Disease
  • Thyroid Disorders
  • Gastro-Intestinal Profiles
  • Blood Chemistry Panels
  • Blood Sugar
  • Food Allergies/Sensitivities
  • Airborne Allergies
  • Parasite, Bacteria, Fungal Infections
  • Autoimmune Conditions
  • Anemias
  • Cardiovascular Health

Identifying the Right Lab Tests For You

During your initial wellness visit, Emily will listen to your entire health history and may also review any labs that you've done in the past. After gaining a full understanding of your symptoms and health history, she will recommend the appropriate labs for you.

Depending on the type of labs recommended, Emily will either hand you a lab kit or lab requisition form. On your follow-up appointment, Emily will spend time with you explaining the results along with a custom treatment plan based on those results.

Each Appointment with Emily is Considered a Wellness Visit. $120/hour
*Appointment fee does not include cost of actual lab testing.
